Miriam G. (Kenepp) Williamson, 87, of Belleville, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2024.
She was born on February 24, 1937 in Bratton Township to the late J. Milton and Frances (Renninger) Kenepp. On December 24, 1977, she married George M. Williamson, who preceded her in death on October 17, 2008.
She is survived by nephew: Tim Kenepp and wife Michelle, with whom she resided; great nephews who held a special place in her heart: Kyle Kenepp and wife Tori, Kevin Kenepp, Keith Kenepp; a great-niece: Khloe Kenepp; great-great nieces and a great-great nephew, who made her light up when they came to see her: Brinley, Audrey, and Landon; a sister, Mary Telfer of Mifflin and a brother, Frank Hartley of Milroy;
She was known to her family as “Puddy”.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by siblings: Jesse Kenepp, Paul Kenepp, Charles Kenepp and Emma Stevens.
She graduated from Bratton-McVeytown-Oliver High School in 1955. She did secretarial work most of her life for various churches. A highlight of her life was doing missionary work in Hong Kong in the late ‘60’s. She loved traveling with her husband.
Miriam very much appreciated her dear friend, Lorraine Yulis, who assisted with her personal care as well, in earlier years, helped care for her husband.
She enjoyed sewing and gardening. After retirement, she enjoyed babysitting for a number of families in the Belleville area.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Belleville.
A viewing will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 3597 West Main Street, Belleville, on Sunday, November 17, 2024, from 1 – 2 p.m., with a funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Mike Sigler officiating. Burial will be at the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Belleville.
