Nancy M. Aumiller

January 19, 1942 - September 27, 2020



Nancy M. Aumiller, 78, of 188 Second Street, Belleville, passed away at 10:40 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, 2020, at Valley View Haven Memory Care.


Born Jan. 19, 1942, in Belleville, she was a daughter of the late William W. and Margaret R. (Russler) Miller.

She is survived by: her children, Julia A. Raia and companion, Rick Hettrick, of Cypress, Texas; Rebecca L. Mancino and husband, Bob, of Blue Bell; and Ray “Chip” Aumiller, of McVeytown; grandchildren, Chris Raia and wife, Kristen; Clay Hettrick, William Zook and wife, Andrea, Caroline Zook, Tim Aumiller and wife, Kati, Phillip Aumiller, Danielle Rosensteel and husband, Ian, and Autumn Specht and husband, Colton; great-grandchildren, Payton, Parker, Presley, Vinnie, Blake, Bryson and Evy; as well as two sisters, Audrey Michael, of Lewistown, and Lucy Magda, of Belleville.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Donna Snook and Sally Shingler.

Nancy earned her LPN in 1978 from the Vo-Tech school in Lewistown. In May 1990, when she was 48 years old, she graduated from Penn State with her bachelor of science degree in Nursing. She worked the majority of her nursing career at Lewistown Hospital on various floors and departments. She retired from Valley View Haven as a nursing Supervisor. She was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Belleville and was a member of the Penn State Nursing Alumni Assoc. The loves of her life were her children and grandchildren, her nursing career, her four sisters and their families, and her home and gardens.

Her memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, 2020, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Belleville with Pastor Vaughn Kanagy officiating.

Burial will take place at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery following the service. Her family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the church.
