Pauline B. Yoder, 87, peacefully drew her last breath on April 13th, 2024, at home in Belleville, PA.
Born on September 4, 1936 to Bill and Mary Smeltzer, Pauline grew up in Lewistown. After graduating from Chief Logan H.S. in 1954, Pauline moved to DC to work as a typist for the FBI until September 1955, when she returned to PA to work at the Department of Health. After meeting Lewis Yoder at Greenwood Furnace, the pair married on September 15, 1956 and settled in Belleville. She later joined the Union Township Municipal Authority, where she worked for 36 years until retiring in 2001.
Pauline and Louie spent several happy decades together raising a family, traveling, and restoring antiques.
In addition to her husband and parents, Pauline was preceded in death by cherished friends, family-in-law, and Bailey.
Pauline is survived by her two children, Chip Yoder and Kelly Keane, and their spouses Barbara Yoder and Timothy Keane, and four grandchildren, A.J. Yoder and wife Mary Kate and Benjamin Yoder and wife Xeni, Meghan Keane, Patrick Keane and wife Katie. She is also survived by sisters, Peg Bargo, Mary Ann Laub and husband Don, brother Ken Smeltzer and wife Pat; 4 great grandchildren; and Rudy.
Pauline fiercely loved her family and friends, who are devastated by their loss but comforted in knowing that their beloved parents/grandparents are reunited after 14 years apart.
