Rebecca M. Yoder, 92, of Belleville, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at home.
She was born on October 24, 1932, in Reedsville, to the late Jonathan H. and Mamie C. (Roth) Glick. On November 14, 1953, she married Joshua D. Yoder, who survives at home.
Along with her husband, she is survived by children: Marvin D. Yoder and wife Lydia of Belleville, Wayne Yoder and wife Sandy of Belleville, Frederick Yoder of Belleville, Wallace Yoder and wife Sara of Allensville, Chester Yoder and wife Sandy of Lancaster, Ruby Stoltzfus and husband Phillip of Lancaster; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; siblings: Mark Glick and wife Bonnie of Reedsville, Marian (Glick) Stoltzfus of Lancaster, Jane (Glick) Cypher and husband Virgil of Melbourne, FL and Helen (Glick) Delaney and husband Sam Delaney of Belleville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Ian Jonathan Yoder, siblings Ada Glick Yoder and husband Darvin, John Glick and wife Doreen, Sherman Glick and wife Kay, and Eugene Glick and wife Peggy.
She attended Reedsville High School. She was a member of the Allensville Mennonite Church and Ladies’ Sewing Circle; in earlier years, she served as a Sunday school teacher. She was primarily a homemaker and a farmer’s wife. She enjoyed quilting and made quilts for all her family members. She also assisted with Meals on Wheels for a number of years.
A viewing will be held on Monday, April 28, 2025 from 5 – 8 p.m. at the Allensville Mennonite Church, 1156 SR 655, Belleville. There will be a Memorial Service on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at the church with Pastors Adam Peachey, Chester Yoder and Robert Zook officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family at the Allensville Mennonite Cemetery.
