Ronald F. Wilson

April 5, 1942 - September 25, 2024









Ronald F. Wilson, 82, 142 Woodland Circle, Reedsville, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024.  


He was born on April 5, 1942 in Belleville to the late Fay E. and Florine (Grossman) Wilson.  On January 18, 1964, he married Carol J. (Hazlett) Wilson, who survives.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert F. “Bobby” Wilson on October 18, 1995, and a sister, Bonnie K. Wilson.


In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Kim L. Orndorf and husband Craig of Milroy; grandchildren: Kristyn Orndorf and companion Matt DeLange of Malvern, PA and Kyle Orndorf and wife Emily of Milroy; great-grandchildren:  Andrew Toddes, Konnor Fortney and Kayden Orndorf of Milroy and Everett DeLange of Malvern, PA; a brother Robert E. “Bob” Wilson and wife Pam of Lititz, PA.; a niece and nephew.


He graduated in 1960 from Kishacoquillas High School and retired from Sperry-New Holland in 2001 as a supervisor.  Following his retirement from New Holland, he worked for Baggus, Henderson, and Bohn Funeral Homes.


He was a member of the Church Hill United Methodist Church.  He formerly served as a PIAA basketball and baseball official for many years and served on the board of Kish Valley Historical Society for a number of years.


He enjoyed watching, attending, and officiating sporting events.  He was very involved with researching local genealogy.  He and his wife enjoyed camping together with their family.  He was an avid hunter with his son and grandson in earlier years.


There will be a visitation for the public on Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 10 – 11:30 a.m. at Henderson Funeral Home, 3813 W. Main Street, Belleville.  Burial will follow the service at the Church Hill Cemetery, Reedsville.
