Thomas G. Paden

July 26, 1931 - May 16, 2021



Thomas G. Paden, 89, of Belleville, passed away at 11:27 p.m. Sunday, May 16, 2021, at Ohesson Manor, in Lewistown.


Born July 26, 1931, in Yeagertown, to Ralph Paden and Agnes (Shearer) Paden. On March 12, 1960, Thomas married Freida (Byler) Paden, who survives and resides at their home.

Also surviving are children: Bonnie Peachey and husband Donald, of Belleville, Tina Paden, of Belleville; Grandchildren: Heather Yoder and husband Clint, of Belleville, Brandon Peachey and wife Megan, of Dillsburg; Great Grandchildren: Marcus and Madyson Yoder, of Belleville, and he is expecting a great granddaughter in June.

He was preceded in death by: a daughter, Roxanne Paden on April 14, 2014, an infant sister, Donna Paden, and brothers & sisters: Ralph “Bud” Paden, Mary Bousom, Cloyd Paden, Jane Couch, Barbara Wilson.

Tom worked on a farm and at a sawmill when he was young. He was employed by New Holland for 40 years, until his retirement in 1991.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was a member of Maple Grove Mennonite Church and former member of the VFW Post 5935. His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 20, 2021, at Maple Grove Mennonite Church with Pastor Alan Kauffman officiating.

Burial will take place at Allensville Mennonite Cemetery at 1:45 p.m. His family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Thursday.
